Being on a TV show doesn’t mean just showing up to read from a teleprompter—after her hosting duties, Christine Bersola-Babao attends a post-mortem meeting, shoots different segments, and does voice-overs for the following day. After all that, she finds time to manage Parentin.tv, an online parenting program, and her second summer charity bazaar, The Grand Lifestyle Summer Fair, happening next month. Then there’s the yearly Christmas charity bazaar she holds with her mom; a plan to write another children’s book (she has already published five); an online business reselling Sweet Seasons, which are chocolate-covered dried mangoes; a venture as an agent selling customized vans, targeting mainly busy actors and actresses; and Precious Memories, a service that preserves bridal bouquets and baptismal knick-knacks.

It seems like Christine always finds an opportunity to be entrepreneurial, and along the way, she’s learned a couple of tricks when it comes to managing her own business ventures. Read on to find out what she has to say!

1. Consider your resources.
“Kung gusto mong big-time kaagad (If you want to be big-time at once), you have to have an office, a staff, inventory, siguro trucks for delivery,” she says.

2. Set up shop online.
“Start online—Instagram, Multiply, Facebook,” Christine advises budding entrepreneurs. She also has no qualms about selling products online, although this may surprise some people. “Celebrity nagbebenta online (A celebrity who sells online?)? Why not? It’s extra income!” she declares.

3. Know the importance of networking.
This ensures that your products will get enough mileage.

4. Find out what your customers need.
“Make sure 'yung product mo may unique selling proposition. Meron kang specific target market (Make sure that your product has a unique selling proposition. You should have a specific target market.).”
