The proposal took place on August 27, at Mistral Port, Maroubra, which is said to be the best place for sea watching.

It's also the 27-year-old designer's "favorite spot" in Sydney, Australia, and, according to her interview with Preen, "I was born in the area and it’s a place I always visited growing up."

He picked my favorite spot in Sydney. ??Little did I know, both our families (who flew all the way from Manila) were waiting to greet us after this! GREATEST. SURPRISE. OF. MY. LIFE! ????

Now what made proposal the "GREATEST. SURPRISE." of her life?

On Instagram, Chi (her nickname) said both their families flew all the way from Manila, and greeted the couple after she said "yes."

For Anton's part, he wrote on Instagram, "To the hardest person to surprise. I love you and can't wait to spend forever."

He gave her a diamond ring set in yellow gold.
