Lola (grandmother) and apo (grandchild) are now talking! In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Charice’s grandmother Tess Relucio recounts how she and her granddaughter recently settled their differences during the pop star’s mall show at the Pavillion Mall, Biñan, Laguna.
“Pumunta ako dun, dinala ako ng isa niyang Chaster [fans club ni Charice] (I went there, I was brought there by a Chaster [a member of Charice’s fan club]), Tess said. “May gusto lang kasi akong malaman kasi napakahirap kasi nung bali-balita (I just wanted to know something because it’s very hard to hear the rumors.).”
“Binabalita nilang galit sa akin, kaya sinigurado ko lang (People are saying that she’s angry at me, so I just wanted to know for certain.).”
“Kaya nung pumunta ako dun, e, iba naman ang naging totoo (So I went there, and it turned out not to be true after all.).”
She has also apparently accepted Charice’s relationship with girlfriend Alyssa Quijano.
“Tinatawag ko si Alyssa, pinalapit ko, pinagmano ko (I called Alyssa, I asked her to approach me and I made her pay her respects),” Tess said.
“Tao ‘yan, e, wala tayong magagawa. Yun, e, damdamin nila ‘yan, e. Hindi natin sila haharangin sa kanilang damdamin (They’re only human, we can’t do anything about it. If that’s how they feel, we will not keep them from feeling they way they do.).”
