In case you haven’t heard yet, Catriona Gray has officially arrived in Bangkok, Thailand for the Miss Universe 2018 pageant—a few days into the international competition, and our very own Miss Philippines is already repping the country in the chicest and most patriotic way possible!
Most of her recent OOTDs have been featuring Philippine designers from head to foot. For instance, here she is in a strapless white dress by Noel Crisostomo that highlights her svelte figure, a pair of nude pointy-toed pumps by Bicolano shoe designer Jojo Bragais, and—our personal fave—a round woven bag made with natural rattan from local brand Calli!
Catriona’s caption for the aforementioned IG post, “Sampaguita,” aptly refers to the beaded white flowers adorning her arm candy. And if you need help to brush up on your grade school Filipino subject, Sampaguita is in fact our Philippine national flower, which is traditionally meant to symbolize purity, simplicity, humility, and strength.

Lest we forget, it's not the first time Catriona made use of fashion to express her patriotism. When she bagged the title at the Binibining Pilipinas coronation night last March, the beauty queen also paid tribute to the country by wearing a custom-made ear cuff called Three Stars and the Sun by Tessera Jewelry, which symbolizes the Philippine flag.
We love how Catriona always finds a way to honor the Philippines!
