Cameron Diaz doesn't remember her past relationships because her ex-boyfriends don't compare to her husband Benji Madden.
The Charlie's Angels star has had a number of famous partners including Jared Leto, Justin Timberlake, and Matt Dillon, but her memories of her previous relationships have washed away now that she has found "real love" with the Good Charlotte star, who she married in January after a whirlwind romance.
"You know, nothing matters now that I have my husband," she tells Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM radio special. "Like, I don't even remember any of that. All of that is like, that's the thing, that's how I know he's my husband... No one compares. Everything else just like washes and slips away.
"You realize like, 'Oh this is like the real thing is. This is what real love is. This is what real commitment and devotion is. This is the person you build your life with.'"
She has previously spoken about how she just knew Benji was the one she would marry, but she also revealed what she first said about him was.
"The first thing I saw (said) when I first met my husband was, 'He's hot'... How come I didn't know this before? We had just never been in the same circle," she added.
They didn't meet again until around a year later when her good friend Nicole Richie and her husband Joel, Benji's brother, invited Benji, 37, to a barbecue Cameron, 43, was hosting at her house. That time she thought, "Wait a second, still hot!"
They got married in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles and celebrated with "a little party in our backyard on the tennis court" because she didn't want it to become "something else".
