After dating for only about a year, Gossip Girl star Blake Lively married Ryan Reynolds in an intimate ceremony on September 9. According to a report by E! Online, the two tied the knot at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. The newlyweds just limited their guests to their closest friends and family.

The article also said that during their reception, which was held underneath a large white tent at the plantation, the guests were treated to a performance by Blake’s friend Florence Welch of the band Florence + The Machine. Singer Bette Midler was also reported to have sung at the ceremony.

Blake and Ryan, who were the stars of the 2011 movie Green Lantern, only went public with their relationship about a year ago. According to an article by People.com, the two have already bought a home in Bedford, New York early this year.

Before tying the knot with Ryan, Blake had previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio and her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley. Meanwhile, this is Ryan’s second time to wed, as he split from actress Scarlett Johansson in 2010, after having been married to her for two years.
