Belle Daza has formally introduced her son to the world via Instagram! Ladies, meet Balthazar Gabriel Daza Semblant.
In an emotional slew of IG stories, Belle shared why it took her a while to (in her own words) “launch” baby Baltie.
“I don’t know why but I felt so…protective when he was born, like I wanted to shelter him from the world,” she wrote. “Maybe that’s what it meant to become a mother?”
She continued to enumerate several reasons as to why she kept baby Baltie from the public eye.
“I wanted to keep these first few moments with him to myself…Like keeping these moments precious. Maybe it’s ‘cause he was still so little. Maybe it’s ‘cause I was so scared he would be judged by how he looked. Maybe it’s ‘cause I wasn’t ready to face the world with how I looked. Maybe it’s ‘cause I wanted to get the perfect photo. Maybe it’s ‘cause he hadn’t met my dad yet.”
Belle revealed that her husband, Adrien Semblat, named baby Baltie after her father, Gabriel “Bong” Daza, who passed away on July 14, 2016—just a few months before her wedding. “I wanted to be reminded of him every day, so my husband named our son after him.”
Belle gave birth to Baltie on April 1, 2018.
