Actress Bea Alonzo and actor Zanjoe Marudo recently hit a milestone as a couple: their first-year anniversary. The two stars spent the day in Tagaytay together to celebrate, ABS-CBNNews.com reports.

"Simple lang," Zanjoe is quoted as saying of their date. "Kumain sa labas; kumain kami doon [sa Tagaytay]. (We ate out. We ate in Tagaytay.)"

Afterward, they gave each other gifts. "Card lang at saka bulaklak (Just a card and flowers)," he said of his offerings.

Bea and Zanjoe both agreed that their bond was stronger now. "Mas nai-inlove pa ako lalo. Mas mature na ang relasyon (I've fallen even more in love with her. Our relationship has become more mature)," Zanjoe explained.

"Kumbaga hindi lang sa relasyon ng boyfriend at girlfriend," he added. "Parang, alam mo 'yon, para na din kaming best friend at magkaibigan nandoon ang usapan, ganoon na ang level. (Our relationship is more than just being boyfriend and girlfriend. We're also best friends. That's the way we talk to each other; we're at that level.)"
