On October 23, 2020, Assunta de Rossi gave birth to daughter Fiore via elective C-section after almost 20 years of waiting.
Assunta's sister Alessandra gave the world a first glimpse of the mother and daughter moments after the delivery.

"This is the most beautiful photo for life! Little Fiore and tears of joy in my sister's eyes," Alessandra captioned her post.
"Almost 20 years in the making! Miracles happen every day, and this one is the best!"
Alessandra then tagged their mother Nenita Schiavone: "Congratulations @assuntaledesma @julesledesma and of course to the new granny na mas oa pa sa naganak, @ermatsko [three laughing emoji]"
Mommy Nenita didn't deny the rush of emotions. She told Alessandra in the comments section: "Naiyak ako, sobra! Bakit di moko kinunan?"
Alessandra playfully answered back, "kasi agaw eksena ka kanina sa pagkaOA. Muntik na kitang i-block Kahit nanay kita."
In her own post, Mommy Nenita was thrilled to finally be a lola.
"Our bundle of joy... To hug and to hold from this day onward....
"Meet Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra Schiavone Ledesma Nickname: Fiore. Lola nako Thank you Lord for this wonderful gift of life! Thank you @julesledesma for loving this beautiful #neomamma and to you Fiore, welcome to our world!!!"
Alessandra then left a reply, suggesting a nickname for the new grandmother.

The actress quipped, "Awwwwwwwwwww grammy ang tatawag nya sayo. Granny mimi! Because you deserve an award!"
Assunta announced her pregnancy on May 5. She was already on her 14th week of pregnancy then.
