It seems like former couple, actress Denise Laurel and PBA player Sol Mercado are giving their relationship another try.
In the actress’ birthday message for the basketball player, Denise expressed just how thankful she is that she and her son are a part of Mercado’s life. “In His time He makes all things beautiful in His time. From the moment I met you up to this very second, I see Him make you more beautiful each day. I want to tell you that,” she says.
“I see you move closer and closer to being the man I always knew u were, the man that u truly are, a man of God. On May 6th (I won't say the year cause u hella old now) God knew what he was doing when he brought u into the world. He already created your story and mapped out your purpose. Writing the good and the not so good to make your journey even sweeter. He doesn’t make no mistakes for He knows the plans He has for you, to show His power and grace through your growth to share HIS love through you to everyone that you meet.”
It was truly a warm and somehow sweet birthday greeting; she even called him “my love.”

Denise Laurel and Sol Mercado started dating in 2012 and got engaged a year after. They were supposed to get married this year but they postponed the wedding in 2016 saying they weren’t prepared just yet. Then, a day after Sol Mercado and his team Barangay Ginebra won the PBA championship, the actress revealed that the engagement has been called off.
We’re hoping that they’ve settled their differences and are back together again!
