Ara Mina has revealed to Interaksyon.com how she and her sister Cristine Reyes reconciled following their year-long feud last year. According to the actress, it started when Cristine sent Ara a series of text messages on March 28 asking if they could talk.

“Sabi niya, hindi na niya kaya. And sabi rin niya, kung hindi pa kami magkikita, pupunta na lang siya ng Baguio since nandun na ibang mga kasama niya (She said she can’t stand it anymore. And she also said that if we can’t meet up, she’ll just go to Baguio since her friends are already there),” Ara was quoted as saying.

Ara replied to Cristine on March 29, and the latter, who was already en route to Baguio, went back to Manila as quickly as she could to spend some time with her sister.

“Medyo nabilisan niya pagmamaneho kaya nahuli pa siya. Ibinigay na lang daw niya agad ang license niya para makaalis na. Lunchtime na nung dumating siya sa bahay (She was driving a bit too fast, and she was caught speeding. She said she just quickly gave her license so she can go on her way. By lunchtime, she was already at the house),” Ara said.

Their reunion was, understandably, awkward in the beginning.

“Ang weird lang kasi parang ilang na ilang pa rin kami sa isa’t isa…Until sinabi niya lang na ‘Ate, kasalanan ko lahat. I am very, very, very sorry,’” Ara recalled. “Tapos, ayun na… Hindi na mapigilan ‘yung iyak niya. Ako rin naiyak na (It was weird because we were uncomfortable being with each other. Until she said, ‘Ate, it’s all my fault. I am very, very, very sorry.’ Then it started… she can’t stop crying. I was also in tears.)”

Ara also said that she really felt Cristine’s sincere efforts to apologize.

“This time, sa kanya rin nanggaling na wala namang nagtulak o nag-udyok sa kanya na gawin ito. Sarili niyang desisyon (This time, the decision really came from her, no one pushed her to do this. It was her own decision),” she said.

Ara will also soon withdraw the libel and grave coercion charges she filed against Cristine last year.

“Gaya naman ng sinabi ko before—ang purpose noon was to give her lang a lesson. Wala akong danyos na hiningi doon. So, God is really good. Ang prayer ko noon, maging maayos ang lahat. And what a better time para masagot ang dasal ko (Like what I said before—its purpose was to give her a lesson. I didn’t want anything from her. So, God is really good. I prayed before that everything would be okay. And what a better time for God to answer my prayer.).”
