It seems that Angelina Jolie has the perfect present for Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt, as she was reported to have recently bought Petra, a heart-shaped island 50 miles north of New York city, for her partner's 50th birthday. The said island allegedly costs $20 million, according to PEP.ph.
The Daily Mirror reports that the actress was thrilled that the island features two houses designed by premiere American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whose a favorite of Brad.
“As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing. She was really impressed. The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat. It’s very private. And Angelina knows the fact the island is in the shape of a heart will mean so much to him,” the Daily Mirror reports.
The said publication adds that back in 2011, Angelina was reported to have bought Brad a waterfall in California for his 48th birthday, as a homage to another Frank Lloyd Wright creation, Fallingwater. The said house is built on a waterfall and is considered “the most unique home in the world.”
Brad Pitt will be celebrating his 50th birthday on December 18.
