In an interview with PEP.ph and Cinema News during the Playhouse thanksgiving media conference on March 12, Angelica explained why she chose to respond to the rude comment.
"Hindi kasi magandang magsalita ka ng 'di maganda laban sa ibang babae. Parang hindi ko 'yon kayang palagpasin. Kasi, unang-una, masama na ngang magsabi ng di maganda sa kapwa."
Angelica pointed out how women shouldn't pull down other women. "Ke babae mong tao, babae rin yung ide-degrade mo. Paano mo ba tinitingnan ang sarili mo as a woman, di ba? Ano 'yong disposisyon mo? E, magulang siya. Parang 'di naman maganda na gan'on yung gusto mo na maging example, 'di ba?
"May mga bagay na kailangan mo lang i-call yung attention para may mga bagay na tumigil lang at tigilan ka lang din."
When asked how all the bashing has been affecting her, especially regarding issues surrounding her ex-boyfriend Carlo Aquino, the actress responds frankly, saying, "Hindi naman para maapektuhan ka na wala na, ayaw mo nang mag-artista. Parang pag may nabasa ka, 'O wow! Ang galing, ah! Ang galing ng mga opinyon nila.' Hindi naman mawawala yun, pero hanggang dun lang yun."
