Angelica Panganiban and Derek Ramsay may have broken up, but it’s clear that Angelica’s not breaking off ties completely. In an interview with PEP.ph, the young actress says that she still wants to be friends with her ex. "Eventually. I think 'yun ang pinakamagandang mangyari. I’m still hoping. (Eventually, I think that would be for the best.)"

When asked whether the two have had any contact with each other, Angelica answered, "Wala. Reality naman yun, e, siyempre hindi naman puwedeng pagkahiwalay niyo, best friends kayo. Mahirap yun. Kalokohan yun. Kailangan parehas mag-move on. Kailangan parehas mag-heal. (None. That’s reality. Of course, you can’t immediately be best friends just after breaking up. That would be hard. Both parties need to move on. Both need to heal.)"

And moving on seems to be precisely what Angelica is intent on doing. The young actress is reportedly about to start working on upcoming soap Apoy sa Dagat, where she stars alongside her Every Breath U Take leading man Piolo Pascual.
