Angel Locsin may not be playing Darna anymore but you’ll still be seeing her on the big screen with former onscreen partner, Richard Gutierrez for an upcoming film.
Star Cinema posted a photo of Angel Locsin, Richard Gutierrez, and Angelica Panganiban on Instagram with the caption: “A back-to-back reunion project! Angel-Angelica and Angel-Richard ? We are excited! ?”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gutierrez and Locsin both shared their excitement.
“Bago ko pa narinig iyong story ay sinabi na sa akin na, ‘Are you OK with working with Chard?’ Sabi ko, ‘Game, anong oras iyong call time ko?’ I’m very excited na makatrabaho ulit si Chard. Sobrang nami-miss ko siyang katrabaho,” says Locsin.
“Iyong nararamdaman ko ay more excitement,” Gutierrez says. “And at the same time, I consider this a challenge kasi it’s a big movie and iyong role ko requires a lot from me so I will definitely prepare. Pero more than anything, I’m excited.”
Both actors worked on films such as Mulawin the Movie, The Promise and Mano Po 6: Gua Ai Di. You’ve also seen them on other TV shows, such as teen hit Click and Mulawin, where they played the characters Aguiluz and Alwina.
Angelica Panganiban is also part of the cast.
Definite details about the movie have not been released yet, but it was reported that it will be directed by Nuel Naval and will be about sisters-in-law and infidelity.
