Angel Locsin needs no costume to be a heroine.
Dressed in a white-and-black top and a black cap, the actress, who famously played the iconic Filipino superhero "Darna", was spotted by many netizens buying sacks of relief goods at a grocery store in Davao City, with many calling her a "real-life Darna."
Angel flew straight to Davao City on November 1, a day after Tulunan, Cotabato was hit by a 6.5-magnitude quake, destroying buildings and roads. According to a report by ABS-CBN News, nine were injured after two floors of a condominium building collapsed.
Sun Star Davao reports that the grocery items will be donated to the victims of the earthquake.
This isn't the first time the actress made rounds online for actively been helping others out.
Just last September, Angel skipped the 2019 ABS-CBN Ball to donate the money she could have spent on a gown and a glam team.
Further explaining her absence, she wrote on Instagram: "I salute my friends at the ABS-CBN Ball who are doing their share to promote awareness on children’s rights and to help the beneficiaries of Bantay Bata 163 get the education that everyone deserves.
"As for me, I decided to do my share in a way that I could probably be more of use. I think it would be better for me to donate directly to Bantay Bata the amount that I’m supposed to spend [for] the ball. It’s not much, but [it] will help make a difference [in] someone else’s life."
