Angel Locsin has denied the rumor that she caused problems for the staff of a men’s magazine which featured her on their October cover. This came after a blind item was published on the entertainment blog Fashion Pulis saying that a specific actress and endorser was “difficult and uncooperative” during her cover photo shoot abroad. Though the post did not mention any names, Angel knew she was the one being referred to, and she cleared her name during a press conference on November 6.

"Actually, nagulat ako roon kasi masaya kaming lahat,” she was quoted as saying in an article on PEP.ph. She then shared her experiences, claiming that she was not the cause of the delay of the shoot.

Pagkahanap pa ng location, bibili pa ng props for the guns, mga ganyan, so the next day kami (Actually, I was surprised because we were all happy then. When we arrived, we were supposed to shoot immediately, but the production team wasn’t ready yet because they still had to look for a location. They also had to buy props for the guns, things like that, so we postponed it until the next day.).”

Ang call time namin is 9:00 p.m. and natapos kami mag-shoot 7:00 a.m. kasi ‘yon 'yung walang tao masyado. Tapos, 'yung 7:00 a.m. na ‘yon, dapat free day na namin 'yung day na ‘yon,” she recalled. (Our call time is at 9:00 p.m., and we finished shooting at 7:00 a.m. because that was the time when there was hardly any people. After the shoot, we were supposed to be given the rest of the day to ourselves. We had planned to go shopping at 1:00 a.m. This all happened after we finished working. So, I didn’t sleep because I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to wake up and they would leave me while they're shopping… So, I did not sleep for the entire day until we got back to the hotel at 10:00 p.m.).”

Angel also clarified the issue that she refused to have her hair and makeup done during the shoot. Pero bumalik sila dahil love nga nila ako (When I got back to the hotel, I had already changed for bed, when I was told that we had to shoot the cover. It was my friend Pam, my stylist, who approached me. I said yes because you’d want your cover to be beautiful, right? But then, I was worried because I lacked sleep, and I might not be able to give it my all… I said yes, I didn’t have the make-up artist and the hairstylist called because I knew they were still out shopping. But they returned because they love me.).”

Though Angel didn’t want to deal with this attack on her professionalism, she said she’d rather admit to being the subject of the blind item so she can clear her reputation. How are you supposed to defend yourself against a blind item that seems to be referring to you? The only thing missing there is your full name. That’s the hard thing. They should have just mentioned my name, right? So, I’m saying this because it’s the same thing.).”
