Gov. Vilma Santos recently spoke up about the issue her son, actor and host Luis Manzano, has been facing since last week, PEP.ph reports. On July 1, actress Angel Locsin posted a disgruntled message on her Twitter account, saying, "Dear ex, stop texting, stalking, and fighting me if you're over na. Pinrotektahan kita pero pag di ka tumigil magsasalita na ko sa pinaggagagawa mo. Respeto please (I protected you, but if you don't stop, I'm going to speak about everything you've done. Please respect me)."While her followers puzzled over her statement, wondering if ex-boyfriend Luis, Angel's last known flame, could be the subject of her Tweet, Luis himself posted on his Twitter account. "With the harsh words I said earlier, I'm sorry, hope we let bygones be bygones, we have moved on, but sorry sa sinabi ko kanina (I'm sorry for what I said earlier)," he is quoted as saying.
Gov. Vilma sent her thoughts on the issue in a text, in which she thanked Luis's fans for standing by him. "Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat in protecting and loving my son Lucky! Sabi ko nga, mature na siya at may sariling desisyon at pag-iisip (Like I said, he's mature now, and he makes his own decisions)." She also asked her fans and those of her son's not to complicate the issue, claiming that what's important is how Angel and Luis have settled the matter between them.
"Napakabait ng anak ko, pero pagdating sa pag-ibig emotional 'yan at natataranta (My son is so nice, but when it comes to love, he's very emotional. He panics)," she is quoted as saying of her son. "Hahaha! Anyway, salamat salamat sa inyo."
