Andi Eigenmann has insisted that her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito is now really over. This came after the actress tweeted a few lyrics from Taylor Swift’s hit song “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” a few hours before the premiere of her new movie, Coming Soon.

“Sinasabi ko sa sarili ko 'yun na para tumatak siya sa isip ko na mas smart decision for me to just be single and happy and take care of my daughter and prioritize my work (I keep repeating those words to remind myself that it would be a smarter decision for me to just be single and happy and take care of my daughter and to prioritize my work),” she was quoted by PEP.ph as saying about her post.

Andi also clarified the rumor of Jake’s parents’ disapproval of her, saying that his father, former President Joseph Estrada, has even asked her to help out in his Manila mayoral bid.

“Well, I don’t want to say that that’s not true because they have asked me to help them campaign and I did go with Jake but then, that’s that,” she said.

The actress even shared that she is on good terms with Jake’s mother, Laarni Enriquez.

“Ay, siyempre po nagpansinan po kami,” she said. “Opo, mabait po siya. Yun naman po 'yung sinabi ko dati, e. Sinabi ko na hindi naman porke't masabi ng isang magulang na hindi ako karapat-dapat para sa anak nila, masama na silang tao. Kasi normal naman yun para sa isang ina, e. At nirerespeto ko po 'yun kaya sana respetuhin din ng lahat... Mabait naman po siya sa akin and when I saw her, yun po, winelcome [welcome] niya po ako, ipinakilala niya po ako sa lahat ng mga tao. Kaya ayun, masaya po ako (Oh, of course we speak to each other. Yes, she’s nice. That’s what I’ve been saying since back then. I said that a parent saying that I’m not good enough for their son won’t make her a bad person. Because that’s normal for a mother. And I respect that, and I hope everyone respects that, too…She was kind to me and when I saw her, she welcomed me, she introduced me to all the people. So there, I’m happy.). That really made me feel good.”

But despite all this, Andi still firmly believes that she and Jake will never get back together.

“Ngayon, tapos na siya talaga (It’s really over now.),” she said. “But I’m so happy... I’m single, I’m happy.”
