Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez, celebrates her 42nd birthday today! She has proven that she's got both talent and selling power when it comes to her music, and we've seen her achieve multiplatinum status, not just in the Philippines, but all over Asia.

Regine may greeting another year, but her voice and her music are still just as beautiful now as they have been in the past years. Scroll through the pages to check out 10 of her songs that we've grown to love.

We know that 10 is too small a number for a superstar like Regine, so we'd like to know which of her songs you'd put on your own favorites list. Share them with us in a comment!

Regine starts off soft and low in this heartwrenching ballad, building the melody before belting out impressive high notes near the end. And the best part? Regine makes the high notes seem just as easy to reach as the low ones.

2. "DADALHIN" (2001)

If you've ever doubted Regine's singing prowess, just check out this performance of "Dadalhin." Regine stays seated for the entirety of this song and delivers every gutwrenching note with ease.

3. "SHINE" (2005)

"Shine, shine, you keep me shining through," Regine sings in this live performance on Party Pilipinas. While some of our favorite Regine songs make us feel sad and emotional, this one lifts up our hearts; Regine's beautiful smile helps too.

4. "TUWING UMUULAN" (2000)

This acoustic version of Regine's "Tuwing Umuulan" really highlights the natural beauty of her voice. We especially love her flawless high note at 4:58!

5. "PANGAKO" (2001)

What made this performance of Regine's hit song so touching was the way she and Ogie Alcasid--who, incidentally, wrote it--performed it together. Check out how they exchange glances at 0:30!

6. "ON THE WINGS OF LOVE" (1999)

The Songbird is in top form in this music video for "On the Wings of Love." We love her strong, smooth vocals and the runs she goes into at 3:00.

7. "SANA MAULIT MULI" (1993)

We enjoy listening to Regine's cover of Gary Valenciano's "Sana Maulit Muli," especially her long note at 2:00. What a pro!

The Songbird showcases the soulful side to her voice in another song penned by Ogie Alcasid. Her signature rifts at the end of the song are only icing on the cake.

9. "IKAW" (1998)

This is arguably one of our favorite performances of Regine's to date! Her breath control is amazing, and we love how she carefully draws out the ends of her notes.

Watch Regine truly test the limits of her voice in this live performance of "Pangarap Ko ang Ibigin Ka." She begins belting out high notes at 2:00, and she just doesn't stop until she gets to the end!
