According to a report published on ABS-CBNNews.com, John Lloyd Cruz admitted during an interview on The Buzz that he and fellow actor Angelica Panganiban are in a relationship.

“It is something na hindi namin ine-expect... Suddenly it’s magic. But seriously, iyon talaga ang nangyari (It's something that we didn’t expect... Suddenly, it’s magic. But seriously, that’s really what happened),” he was quoted as saying in the article.

While this may be the first time the young actor has openly proclaimed his relationship with Angelica on television, there have been numerous rumors linking the two since April. According to the same article from ABS-CBN News, it appears that John Lloyd and Angelica reportedly became an item shortly after returning to the Philippines from Vietnam, where they shot scenes for the upcoming Star Cinema anthology 24/7 in Love.

In an interview with Pep.ph, Angelica’s close friend Director Dante Nico Garcia also confirmed the relationship. A video he shot of the couple professing their love for each other further cements the confession.

“In the end, we’re just two happy souls. We’re just happy to share the same feelings. So live it, 'di ba?” said John Lloyd in the video.
