Although On The Job stars Piolo Pascual and Shaina Magdayao have both said that they are not going as each other’s dates for the 7th Star Magic Ball, they were seen spending a lot of time together during the red-carpet event.

“Marami akong date, isang buong grupo ng mga kaibigan ko. All of my friends are here. Finally magkakasama na kaming lahat na magkakatrabaho (I have a lot of dates. All of my friends are here. Finally, my co-workers and I can spend time with each other),” Shaina was quoted as saying in an article on ABS-CBNNews.com.

“Date ko sila lahat. I’m there naman to be with everyone,” Piolo added. “Shy [Shaina’s nickname] and I are going to be there. We are going to be together along with a lot of other friends.”

The two stars, who had arrived separately, were seen leaving the Fairmont Hotel (where the ball was held) together.

In an earlier interview, Piolo had refused to elaborate on his closeness with Shaina, saying that people will just keep speculating the more he talks about it.

“There's a thin line [between] being showbiz and wanting it personal kasi whatever you say, it may appear as a showbiz answer or what have you,” he had said. “Gusto ko sana walang sabihin, I don't want to comment. I don't want to say anything about it pero dumadating tayo sa point na nakukuwestiyon ka. As much as you want to be sincere, iba pa rin ang dating sa tao eh (I’d rather not say anything, I don't want to comment. I don’t want to say anything about it, but we're already being questioned. As much as you want it to be sincere, people will still perceive it differently.). What I can safely say about our relationship is we are friends, we are very good friends. We've been hanging out a lot lately so nandoon siya sa point na iyon (We’ve been hanging out a lot lately so it has reached that point.).”
