In a PEP.ph interview on October 4, Kris said the secret to her success as an endorser is her honesty. "Kasi, I'm not a liar. 'Yon lang 'yon, what you see is what you get," she is quoted as saying.
"Sinabi nga ni [Boy Abunda] sa akin, 'Malaking bagay, Krissy, na you're so transparent and so public ([Boy Abunda] even told me, 'It's a big thing, Krissy, that you're so transparent and so public'),'" she adds. "So, alam nilang wala akong tinatago talaga, workaholic lang ako, makapamilya ako, and alam nila na 'yong dalawang anak ko ang priority ko talaga. So, I think 'yong values na ine-espouse ko ngayon, 'yon ang hinahanap nila. (They know that I don't have anything to hide. I'm just a workaholic, I'm family-oriented, and they know my two kids are really my priority. So, I think the values I espouse right now are what they're looking for.)"
Nielsen reports that celebrity endorsements are still the most effective way of marketing, given that 38 percent of the country's top products and services are endorsed by stars.
