Actress Gretchen Barretto only had good words to say about actress-TV host KC Concepcion when she was asked about her Alta co-star. At the 25th Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards for Television, La Greta, who won the Best Drama Actress Award for her role in Magkaribal at the ceremonies, told ABS-CBNNews.com that she believed KC would overcome all obstacles that came her way.
"Feeling ko kaya niya (I feel like she can do this)," she is quoted as saying. "Kung ano ang pinagdadaanan niya, I see her strength. Nag-workshop na kami, more or less kilala ko na [siya]. Kaya niya. (Whatever she's going through, I can see her strength. We do workshops together, and I know her more or less. She can do this.)"
She also gave her co-star advice to get her through rough times. "Enjoy life. Be honest, and be true to yourself."
Gretchen refused to divulge what she knew about KC's situation, but she said she liked KC and hoped for the best for her. "She's a very good person, and it's just part of [her] journey through life."
KC traveled to Europe back in October after saying she didn't know the status of her relationship with actor Piolo Pascual. In an ABS-CBNNews.com report on November 16, she refused to talk about the issue. "I’ll speak and I’ll share my heart as I always have. It’s just that bigyan niyo lang po ako ng time kasi gusto ko din kayanin na humarap sa inyo na totoo yung nararamdaman ko at totoo yung ibabahagi ko sa inyo. (Just give me time because I want to face you with my true feelings so that what I tell you will also be the truth.)"
