Actor Gerald Anderson and singer-actress Sarah Geronimo previously stated that they were willing to be each other's dates on Valentine's Day. At a press conference for clothing brand Mint on February 16, Gerald confessed that their date pushed through, ABS-CBNNews.com reports.
"In-invite ko [si Sarah] ng Valentine's Day. Magkasama kami, but it was a group date," he explained. The two of them ended up going to a karaoke bar with Sarah's family. "Nag-KTV kami. Malaking grupo kami. (We went to a KTV bar. We were a large group.)"
Gerald said he was thankful for the time they spent together. "[Sobra] kong na-appreciate na nakasama ko siya. (I really appreciate that I was able to spend time with her.)"
Meanwhile, in an earlier interview on February 14, Sarah said she was still conflicted about whether or not to start wearing the Tiffany necklace Gerald gave her for Christmas. "Siyempre, concerned din ako sa sasabihin ng mga tao 'pag sinuot ko (Of course, I'm concerned about what people will say if I wear it)," she is quoted as saying on PEP.ph. " But she added that she also wanted Gerald to see that she appreciated the gift. "Siguro 'pag susuutin ko, susuutin ko—pag dumating na yung pakiramdam na 'yun. (Maybe I'll wear it when the feeling is right.)"
In the meantime, Sarah is preparing her gift for Gerald for his birthday on March 7. "May naiisip na akong gustong iregalo sa kanyang birthday. Yung gusto kong magkaroon talaga siya—gusto ko siyang maging masaya. Wala naman sigurong masamang magregalo kasi magkaibigan naman kami nung tao. (I already have something in mind for my birthday gift for him. It's something I really want him to have--I want him to be happy. I don't think there's anything wrong with giving him a gift since the two of us are friends.)"
