Nothing says everlasting love better than daring the elegance and simplicity of a black and white wedding. Jessica and Dennis chose an unusual motif (by Pinoy standards), and they defied tradition more than once. With only six months to prepare for a wedding and a tight budget to boot, they opted for a different and more personal affair. There were no flower girls, no ring bearer, and only one set of sponsors. They also made most of the wedding details themselves. Their wedding was simple, but it was nevertheless amazing and memorable.

Love Story
Jessica Navarro and Dennis Navarro were college classmates, and it was their class' seating arrangements (alphabetically arranged by surname) that allowed them to sit close to one another. They became fast friends, and in their four years in college, they made attraction seem like such a simple concept.
School projects were like instant dates and pick-me-ups. Jessica and Dennis forged a strong bond--they saw each other at their best grades and worst thesis moments. They were inseparable, and their connection did not falter even after they graduated from college.
Four years later after leaving their Alma Mater, destiny proved that the two would graduate out of being just seatmates. On February 20, 2010, Jessica and Dennis sat beside each other--this time in front of an altar--as they vowed to spend the rest of their lives together.

Wedding Preparations
The wedding was a summary of all things that represented Jessica and Dennis. Jessica knew that she wanted a black and white wedding (that was a non-negotiable!), and she made sure that every detail had the right touch of elegance and style. With her simple yet classy concept, everything else just fell into place.
The couple had an intimate affair of 70 guests, who were all close family and friends of the couple. They had the ceremony at the Transfiguration Chapel in Caleruega, and hosted a reception care at the Splendido Taal Golf and Country Club in Tagaytay.
Jessica and Dennis added quirky touches to their details to make their wedding reflect their personalities. They wore their signature college shoes throughout the reception: black and white Chuck Taylors for the groom, and white Keds sneakers for the bride. The wedding also featured details that were products of the couple's DIY projects--the wedding invites, the escort cards and paper cranes, among others. These showed how personal touches can turn a simple celebration into such an amazing night, and the bride says that these details made their wedding memorable. "You just need to know what you want and have the creativity and passion [to execute the ideas]. What makes your wedding special is all the personal details [that you incorporate in the celebration]," she says.
