Ever heard of the saying "love is in the air"? Well, that was literally the case for Filipino couple Kristoffer “Topy” Rustia and Micah Cura, who got married onboard an AirAsia flight at 37,000 feet above sea level.

The flight, which was bound for Boracay, departed Manila at 1 p.m. and arrived at the Caticlan Airport after an hour and five minutes. During which, the couple officially tied the knot and exchanged vows in front of their fellow passengers that mostly consisted of their family and closest friends.

Top and Micah, who met during their initial cabin crew training in Malaysia back in 2018, have always felt that getting married on a plane would be the most meaningful way to honor their love story. Thankfully, AirAsia and their colleagues have made their seemingly impossible dream wedding possible. “As crazy as it may seem, I envisioned Micah walking down the aisle in one of our flights wearing her lovely gown, not her cabin crew uniform. It seemed like it would be impossible, knowing that we work as flight attendants, but AirAsia made it happen," the groom reveals in an article published by the airline's blog.

Speaking of Micah's gown, apart from the unique way they put a ring on it, we also can't help but adore the bride's chic wedding dress. For her walk down the aisle, Micah sought the help of local fashion designer Mikee Andrei, who created a minimalist white frock with a thigh-high slit and off-the-shoulder puff sleeves.

"The gown is made of silk gazaar to achieve that crisp and [statement-making vibe] even though it had no embellishment and any lacework," the designer says of Micah's look. "A wedding dress doesn't have to sparkle with crystals and glitters. It is the bride's glow that will make her shine and look her best on her big day, may it be on ground or up in the air. Such a unique and beautiful wedding in the sky!"

To complete her bridal look, Micah wore a pair of nude pumps and a set of drop earrings by accessory designer Christopher Munar. She kept her hair polished in a clean low bun, which kept everyone's attention rightfully focused on her stunning wedding dress.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! May your marriage take you to even greater heights!
