Love Story
Sittie and Pao met through a common friend back in 2005. Pao and his friends decided to join Sittie's group on a trip to Puerto Galera, where they began to bond. After the trip, they stayed in touch through Friendster and text messages, and the exchanges eventually led them to see each other as more than just friends. On one of their text marathons, Pao confessed to Sittie how much he liked her. They went out on a date after that, and officially became a couple from then on.
Despite their religious differences, and the times they spent apart from each other, Sittie and Pao were still able to stay together and build a strong five-year relationship. When Pao decided to convert to Sittie's religion, the two were able to sit down and discuss their intention to get married. "It was a mutual decision for us to get married. No fancy proposal happened as I was a practical bride and told Pao that I would rather we spend the money he would've used to buy an engagement ring and organize a surprise proposal on our wedding budget," Sittie shares.

Sittie and Pao gave their Muslim wedding a modern and refreshing twist, as their intimate affair was marked with a beach-inspired theme. Manila Ocean Park served as the perfect venue for them--the aquarium-surrounded function room, and the view of the Manila Bay allowed the couple relish their love for the beach and sea without having to spend so much on a destination beach wedding. The couple complemented the vibe of their unique wedding by lacing it with DIY details, which also lent a warm touch to the celebration.
In achieving their fuss-free dream wedding, the couple realized how important it is to get to know one's suppliers. "We advice couples to find out more about their suppliers via the web. We've been to many bridal expos, and enjoyed getting fliers and looking at gorgeous displays, but realized that behind the beautiful images and amazing exhibit gowns, we have no idea about the attitude of the suppliers," Sittie says. She adds, "Do not be tempted to clinch a contract with a supplier offering huge discounts and freebies without first knowing them."
