On their tenth anniversary as a couple, Sarah and Jet tied the knot with a sapphire-themed affair. By being hands-on with their wedding preparations, the couple made their big day the fun and love-filled affair that they have dreamed of.

Love Story
Jet was Sarah's crush in high school, and luckily for Sarah, Jet became her seatmate on their senior year. They became friends, and even went to their graduation ball together. The two forged a strong bond that allowed them to stay in touch even after their graduation.
Later on, the two realized that they had romantic feelings for each other, and they soon became a couple. They were each other's first and last.
One their ninth anniversary as a couple, Jet brought Sarah to a sweet and relaxing trip to Tagaytay. When they got to Caleruega, the two sat on a hill, and Jet made the moment even more special by finally popping the question. "[There was] no romantic music, no elaborate lunch setting, just him expressing his intentions to spend the rest of his life with me--it was perfect," Sarah warmly shares. She adds, "Sometimes you really get lucky and you get it right the first time."

Wedding Preparations
Jet and Sarah marked their tenth anniversary as a couple with a simple and classic wedding. The two worked around sapphire blue as theme, since it was the bride's favorite color and their wedding month's birthstone. Moreover, they found out that sapphire stood for loyalty and fidelity--virtues that the couple wanted to honor in their relationship.
While Jet and Sarah kept things simple, they still wanted their personalities to shine through. They removed some Filipino wedding traditions such as the doves and the money dance from the program, and instead incorporated some modern twists in lieu of the traditional bouquet and garter toss. By doing so, the couple was able to keep the mood light and filled with laughter.
Sarah and Jet admits that they enjoyed planning for their wedding since the day they got engaged. However, Sarah highly recommends hiring of a coordinator, regardless of how hands-on you are. "If you're really hands on, an on-the-day coordinator will be enough. A cousin or family member might be very willing, but try to remember that they're there to celebrate with you and they might get caught in the excitement and might forget a thing or two," Sarah explains.
