Love Story
Rina and Alfred met through their families. Their fathers were long time friends with one another, and that connection paved the way for their romance.
However, Rina and Alfred's different careers meant that the two had to maintain a long-distance relationship. While Rina was taking up law at Ateneo de Davao, Alfred took up medicine at St. Luke's, Manila. The two had an on-again, off-again relationship for 13 years, until one day, Alfred told Rina that he had a surprise monthsary gift for her.
Rina secretly knew what this gift would be, and she turned out to be right. Alfred asked her to marry him, and she accepted his proposal.

Wedding Preparations
Rina and Alfred had a classic wedding, which they peppered with dreamy details. The couple also incorporated elements that reflected their personalities. Despite their busy schedules, Rina and Alfred made sure to write their own vows. Moreover, even though most of the details were suggested by their wedding planner, they still had the final say on everything.
Rina shares that she and the groom are very grateful to their family and friends who helped them during the preparation stage. One piece of advice in particular proved to be very valuable to the couple. The bride says, "We were advised by family and friends not to worry during the preparation up until the big day. We followed that advice, and we did not encounter any problems. Everything just fell into place."
