Love Story
Myrvi and Avinash met nearly ten years ago in New York at the hospital where they both worked. The two, however, never really got to work with each other--Myrvi was a nurse while Avinash was a neurosurgeon. But when a common friend introduced them to each other in a lounge in the Big Apple, the two hit it off immediately despite their cultural differences.
Eight years into their romance, the two got engaged in Cape Cod-inspired restaurant called Ocean House, which was near the Hudson River. "I am Catholic, and he is Hindu, but he agreed to have our Catholic wedding in Bohol to honor our heritage. He loves the Philippines--we have been spending our vacations all over the Philippines for the past four years. Bohol holds a special place in our hearts, and it was the perfect place for our wedding," shares Myrvi.

Myrvi and Avinash's wedding in Bohol was a testament of how a mix of cultures can create a harmonious and beautiful celebration. With a champagne gold color motif, the couple's wedding took on an a colonial-inspired theme, peppered with details exuding both old world charm and modern elegance.
From the lace of Myrvi's bridal gown to the chandeliers at the reception, the couple's wedding exuded exquisite style that was warm, intimate, and timeless. The couple even held a special luncheon first before having an evening reception.
In honor of Filipino wedding traditions, Avinash wore a barong Tagalog for the ceremony. The bride channeled a style that was timeless as she wore an exquisite lace gown. Come the reception, Myrvi and Avinash danced to an Argentinian tango, not only to mirror the passion in the couple's relationship, but also to show their openness about celebrating different cultures. The bride then surprised Avinash with a dance number to the tune of Jai-Ho. The number served as an homage to Avinash's Hindu roots.
With all the different elements coming seamlessly together for Myrvi and Avinash's wedding, the couple credits their wedding coordinator, Ernest Pascual, for their event's success. They suggest planning couples to put their full trust on their wedding coordinator. "It was a stressful event, but Ernest and all my wedding suppliers made my day stress-free," shares Myrvi.
