College sweethearts Mimi and Dave celebrated their 10th anniversary as a couple by renewing their vows. Their laid-back beach wedding featured cheery pops of yellow and orange details, which made the intimate affair vibrantly chic.

Love Story
Mimi and Dave were classmates in Philosophy in college, and it was then that Dave developed a crush on Mimi. Dave eventually pursued Mimi--and from the start of their romantic relationship, they have become inseparable for five years.
Through the course of their five-year relationship, they were blessed with a daughter. So on their fifth year together, May 2009, the two decided to get married civilly, hoping then that they would have a formal church wedding someday.
In 2010, the couple vacationed at Acuatico Beach Resort, which is owned by their godfather. Upon seeing the picturesque resort, inspiration struck Mimi and Dave. They fell in love with the place, and decided to come back the following year to tie the knot on their 10th anniversary.

Wedding Preparations
Having been married civilly, Mimi and Dave wanted their Christian wedding to be relaxed and intimate. They held their ceremony and reception at Acuatico Beach Resort in Laiya Batangas.
Mimi and her friend Julia were hands on with planning the wedding, which featured a yellow and orange motif. The two busied themselves with DIY projects, decorated the ceremony and reception venue, and prepared the program for the big day.
Nostalgic details that referenced to their childhood years were also incorporated into the celebration. Mimi and Dave wore Rambo slippers at their wedding, and served chips that they enjoyed munching on as children. By doing so, the couple was able to show their personalities, and let their guests enjoy a fun affair. "[W]eddings will always be special when the couple is hands on. Our wedding was a reunion of us with our loved ones from different parts of the world, so it was very personal and [we felt really] comfortable. [B]ut what I loved about our wedding is it touched everyone who was present that day--they laughed [and] cried at the same time," says the bride.
