Meg and Bem had a stunningly coordinated Mediterranean-themed wedding, which was produced through the collaboration of many sought-after suppliers, to whom the couple had given complete creative freedom for the design. The November affair was a perfect example of a well-thought-out and flawlessly executed theme.
Love Story
Meg and Bem were both born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2005, their paths crossed there as Bem became the volleyball assistant coach and trainer of Meg's volleyball team. On September 28 of the same year, the two officially became a couple.
Leading to their fourth anniversary as a couple, Bem gave Meg the impression that he was going to give her the MAC Book Pro that she wanted. When Bem dropped by Meg's place twelve days before their anniversary, she was looking forward to having a new MAC in her hands. But when Bem handed her his wrapped present, she found the box much heavier than expected. Instead of the computer, inside were spare parts of a hospital bed that Bem was calibrating for his work as a biomedical engineer--and nestled amidst all the parts was a small box.
When Meg nervously opened the box and found a diamond ring, Bem got down on one knee and asked for her hand.

Wedding Preparation
"Bem and I never pressured our suppliers to do what we want for the wedding. Instead, we gave them the liberty to be creative," Bem shares. With this creative freedom, the couple's trusted suppliers, coordinated by Ernest Pascual of Events! Events!, came together to deliver a stunningly bold and elegant Mediterranean-themed wedding that was marked with a mix of cool shades and warm sunny tones.
The ceremony was held at the gothic San Sebastian Church in Quiapo, Manila. The entourage and the couple all walked down the aisle in style with exotic blooms, arranged by Vatel Manila, accentuating their formal ensembles. The riotous shades and variety in texture of the flowers lent a tasteful unique touch to the couple's affair.
At the reception, the couple and their guests were greeted with La Castellana's romantic air and regal centerpieces marked with ceramic tiles featuring both the cool and warm shades of the Mediterranean. Damask patterns, fresh blooms, candles--and even a couple of lemons--lent a cheery vibe to the festivities. Aside from the décor, the couple's wedding was also marked with special performances such as the belly dance number of Meg's sister, which gave the guests a glimpse of the Arabian culture the couple grew up in.
