Margareth and Jeric tied the knot with a vintage theme that made their affair warm and inviting. With fuchsia pink as their chosen motif, and an array of DIY details, the couple was able to make their wedding truly their own.

Love Story
Margareth and Jeric first crossed paths at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. They were both college freshies, and had a common friend who introduced them to each another. "At first, I hated his guts. For me, he was an annoying person, who tried hard to be a class clown so I often ignored him-sometimes, I would even steal his show just to humiliate him," shares Margareth. Their classmates would then tease them, until eventually, the jokes led them to see each other in a different light.
As they developed deeper feelings for each other, Margareth and Jeric had to face the challenges brought about by their different religious beliefs. However, through the course of time and with their undying love for each other, the couple was able to reach a compromise, and that allowed them to take their vows to the altar. "From the day we became officially a couple, we knew that we would be marrying each other. There were no questions about it in our minds, thus we also feel there was no need for a formal or fancy proposal. What mattered to us is that we knew that we were sure of our feelings, and that we both want to spend the rest of our lives with each other," Margareth proudly shares.

Wedding Preparations
Margareth and Jeric exchanged I do's with a vintage-themed celebration. In keeping with the charming theme, the couple held their reception at the walled city's Baluarte de San Diego--the venue showcased Intramuros' old world charm. The couple's affair was also peppered with a lot of DIY projects, which allowed every single detail to represent love.
The couple also personalized their wedding even more by singing a song together in lieu of the first dance. Margareth and Jeric serenaded their guests with Colbie Calliat and Jason Mraz's Lucky. "Our decision of doing a first song instead of a first dance, proved to be the most rewarding thing we did for our wedding. We kept it a secret from everyone, so no one from our family and friends really expected us to do such a thing," Margareth shares.
With all of the couple's efforts to make their wedding truly their own, they suggest planning couples to consider planning efforts as enjoyable activities, and not as chores. "Look at [the process] as [a series of] steps that will bring you closer to your goal of marrying the person you love. In our case, I have beaten myself physically by doing DIY [projects], and inquiring and the meeting with suppliers, but I can proudly say that I have enjoyed every moment of our wedding preparations. I enjoyed it so much that now I am really missing it," Margareth explains.
