Brought together by mere coincidence of sharing the same birthday, Loida and Leo sealed their long-term five year relationship with a wedding that exuded modern elegance. With a black and blush pink color motif, the two were able to pull of a heartfelt, whimsical affair.

Love Story
Loida and Leo first met in 2003 through online chat--at that time, Loida was in the US while Leo was in Cebu. A common friend introduced them to one another as they both shared the same birth date, which is November 3, 1982. "[F]ew minutes of chatting became long hours and we chatted almost everyday. We just talked anything we can think of. Until I came home and continued my studies in University of San Carlos, he never let me out of his sight," shares Loida. And so on June 8, 2004, the two officially became a couple.
Leo was Loida's first and last love. "He told me once when we were just a new couple that we will not be only counting months celebrating monthsaries, but later on we will be counting years," gushed Loida. Five years into the relationship, the two got engaged on their 27th birthday. Loida woke up in her bed, and found an empty small box on one side and Leo holding the ring in his hand on the other.

Wedding Preparations
Loida and Leo celebrated their special day with a sweet blend of classic and modern elements. Having black and blush pink as color motif, the two were able to channel an elegant yet carefree vibe with their wedding. From their entourage's attire to their reception décor, the details of their wedding all went together to pull of a dainty and whimsical affair.
The couple was also able to make their wedding warm by engaging in DIY projects, which included all their printed paraphernalia. They also filled their reception program with entertaining musical performances that set the mood for the rest of the day's festivities.
For planning couples, Loida and Leo suggest banking on "hiring the right coordinator-[this is] especially important when you are [planning from] abroad. Do thorough research before hiring one." Loida also adds that "looking through wedding blogs and wedding sites is very helpful."
