It was a boat trip to a Caribbean island that brought together Lea and Johannes, who were both based in Canouan Island in St. Vincent. Because the beach was the backdrop for their romance, and they have a common love for nature and the tropics, the couple opted to have a lush, tropical-themed wedding in Boracay.
When guests arrived the day before the wedding, they received a welcome bag with goodies to help them enjoy their stay at the beach. Lea and Johannes also prepared a number of outdoor activities that played up the fun tropical theme of the celebrations. Among the festivities they lined up were island hopping, lunch at a seafood restaurant, a scavenger hunt, and welcome cocktails.
The couple kept the relaxed atmosphere throughout the wedding, which was set amidst the tall coconut trees of Shangri-la Boracay. Cabanas were set up around the area and decorated with flowers and candles to give the reception a beautiful, breezy feel.
Lea and Johannes' wedding perfectly captured the tropical ambiance they wanted--and more importantly, it let them share with their guests the atmosphere in which they fell in love.
