Love Story
Krisel and Lex's story began in the office. Lex was assigned to supervise Krisel's training in their company, and that paved the way for the two's friendship. "We got to know each other better during office hours, and eventually decided to spend some time going out on dates. Afterwards everything fell into place, and we officially became a couple within a few months," shares Krisel.
In April 2010, Krisel and Lex found out that they were on the family way. After talking things over, the two decided to get married civilly in June of the same year and then exchange I do's before the altar exactly a year later. The bride shares, "Lex originally planned on giving me my engagement ring as a surprise last Valentine's Day (2011). However, I accidentally found out about it because I saw the receipt for the ring when I was going through his wallet while he was asleep," Krisel recalls. But even if she spoiled the surprise, Lex laughed the incident off and went on with the proposal, even if he had to do it earlier than planned.

Krisel and Lex celebrated their civil wedding's first anniversary with a cool and casual church wedding. With a gray, silver, and midnight blue color motif, the couple's wedding exhibited simple elegance and chic style.
Though Krisel and Lex tied the knot on a rainy day in June, their special day still exuded warmth. The couple took on some DIY projects such as the escort cards and thank-you notes. The couple also made their guests comfortable by soliciting their participation in their reception program. The two kicked off the reception program by swaying to Beauty and the Beast for their first dance. The song was "a tongue-in-cheek decision to get people laughing and to start the reception off on a light, easy note," shares the bride. The song did get everyone at ease, as Krisel and Lex's family and friends made their affair fun and memorable with song and dance numbers.
While Krisel and Lex have already tied the knot before, they still took planning seriously. The couple stresses the importance of having ample time for planning, as this, they say, enables you to choose and book suppliers for your dream wedding. "Thanks to blogs, forums, and websites like BridalBook, I was also able to get a few ideas. From there, both of us sat down and discussed how like our wedding to be," the bride says.
