Izza and Nic tied the knot in Bataan with a romantic modern Filipiniana-themed destination wedding. The couple's affair channeled a classy old-world charm reminiscent of the Philippines in the Spanish times. After exchanging I do's at the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Church in Pilar, Izza and Nic treated their guests to an outdoor reception at a cobbled courtyard at the famed Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac.
To stamp their classy theme with their personalities, and to keep things light and fun for the guests, the couple incorporated some quirky details into their celebration. "The invitation cover had the words, "Makapiling ka, makasama ka, yan ang Panalangin Ko", [which were taken] from APO Hiking Society's song. This [served as] tribute to the couple's love for OPM music," shares the bride. She adds, "The itinerary, on the other hand, had references and descriptions of the upcoming events. [We described] the dinner [on the eve of] the wedding, as "Lugawan Bago ang Kasalan (Last Supper)--Munting kainan, lugaw-lugaw lang. Puwedeng uminom pero konti lamang! May bukas pa mga kaibigan. Tandaan: Bukas ang Lasingan."
The rest of the couple's special affair was filled with OPM music, courtesy of the Philippine Madrigal Singers and other Filipino bands. "We could not ask for anything more. We felt the love from all our guests and for each other during our dream Filipiniana destination wedding," gushes the bride. In pulling off such a sophisticated and grandiose affair, the bride tells brides who are planning a similar affair to go for tried and tested suppliers. "You will not regret the premium you pay," the bride asserts.
