Love Story
Iah and Ian met back in 2006, when Iah just got in a new job and attended a training program. Ian was among the coaches, but he and Iah just saw each other as mere colleagues. However, when the training sessions were over, one of their officemates stepped in and played Cupid to Iah and Ian. The two started talking to each other more often, and they soon found out from their officemate that they mutually liked each other. With this, their friendship took a different turn, and they eventually fall in.
Through the course of their relationship, Iah took her chances to explore other career options in Malaysia. In 2009, three years into their relationship, Ian paid Iah a visit and gave her a delightful surprise. "There were several obstacles before he was able to say the magic words. He thought of proposing on a cruise at Putrajaya, or in the middle of Petronas Towers Skybridge, but he failed on both instances," shares Iah. When they both got home, however, Ian finally mustered enough courage to ask Iah for her hand in marriage. It was a simple proposal, but was one of the most special moments of the relationship for both Iah and Ian.

Iah and Ian celebrated their 9-10-11 wedding with a chic yellow and blue color motif. With their happy color palette, a cheery ambiance, coupled with a love-filled atmosphere, ensued. The affair was simple and laidback, and the carefree vibe allowed the couple and their guests to truly appreciate what they were celebrating: love. DIY details and special performances from the couple's friends gave the affair a warm and intimate feel.
Through planning their wedding, the bride realized that it would have been helpful if she knew that such an event would consume a lot of time and money. "During our pre-planning, we estimated our budget to cost [a certain amount], but it doubled when the event got nearer!" the bride shares.
