Love Story
Gen and Ryan were college sweethearts at the University of Santo Tomas, where they took the same course. Aside from pursuing the same field, the couple also owed the start of their relationship to their student numbers--the bride's was 99030247, while the groom's was 99030248.
The two were constant seatmates and project buddies. Later on, they decided to become lifetime partners. "According to [Ryan], he proposed 11 years ago when he took [me] as his girlfriend. He was serious from the start," the bride shares.

Gen and Ryan exchanged I do's in Pangasinan with a laid-back wedding that featured a rustic theme. The couple made sure that their beach wedding was one-of-a-kind by making incorporating details that kept the mood light and casual as possible.
The couple veered away from the usual blue and white color palette that are usually used in beach weddings, and instead went for earthy tones that complemented their rustic theme. "Guests were not ‘forced' to watch the couple for hours. After the delightful dinner and a few speeches, everyone had the freedom to do their own thing--be it drink some Bacardi 151, jam with other singer-guests, chat or just sit on Bolinao's fine white sand, or stare at the beach and the moon," shares Gen.
To allow guests to savor the beachside ambiance at the reception, the couple also treated their guests to a boodle fight banquet. Guests ate with their hands and used banana leaves as plates as they enjoyed dinner under a romantic moon-lit sky. With these, Gen proved how her mantra for her wedding preparations, "Be fearless [and] follow your heart!," paid off.
