Love Story
Gem and James met back in college. A common friend, AJ, saw Gem fall from the stairs on the way to class--making him remember Gem long after the embarrassing incident.
Gem was hooked on playing PC games, and she would usually play at a computer shop near their school. AJ spotted her there, and their common interests drove them to become buddies. AJ then thought that it would be a good idea to set Gem up with his friend, James.
Eventually, Gem and James hung out with the same set of people. Their common friends would tease them about getting together. The teasing got to the two, and Gem and James finally decided to take their friendship further. After years of being together, James proposed to Gem in front of family and friends.

Wedding Preparations
The couple's wedding reflected both their personalities. Gem wanted a black and white motif, while James wanted to incorporate purple, his favorite color, into the wedding. The couple combined their ideas, and their black, white, and purple-themed affair turned out to be quite memorable.
Gem and James took on various DIY projects for the wedding--doing so allowed them to save on the wedding budget. Among their projects were the misalettes, the ring and coin holder, and the photobooth layout. The couple also enlisted the help of family and friends in getting the other wedding-related tasks done.
The affair reflected their quirky personalities, and the couple also asked guests to do something unusual in Pinoy weddings. Gem and James had the guests come in black and white ensembles, making the affair quite different.
Gem and James' attention to detail and their unique taste allowed them to pull off a wedding that showed their guests their true colors.
