Long-term couple Edz and Jeff celebrated their 12th anniversary together with a fun and chic outdoor wedding that used yellow and gray as the motif. Their February affair was a sweet blend of shabby chic details and the couple's love for travel and photography.

Love Story
Edz and Jeff first met back in1998, when they were both still in junior high. Jeff pursued Edz, and on their Junior-Senior Prom, Jeff asked Edz to be his girlfriend-and that signaled the beginning to a long-term relationship.
In May 2009, the couple went on a Camiguin Island-Cagayan de Oro vacation trip with some of their friends from high school. On their second day, their group decided to go to the White Island. Enamored by the view, Edz strolled along the island's sandbar, not realizing that the people she was with were already setting something up behind her.
When Edz turned back to where she left her companions, she found Jeff down on one knee with the words "Will you marry me?" scribbled on the fine white sand. "I felt so giddy that I answered him, "San ka kumuha ng pambili nito?" It finally hit me, when [one of our friends] shouted, "Hoy! Anong sinasabi mo?" and Jeff wouldn't stand up until I answer and of course I said "Yes! Yes!" I was really surprised that it took me minutes to discern that we got engaged already. Few minutes after, I would be caught silently staring into my engagement ring," Edz gushingly shares in their wedding blog.
On their 12th anniversary, Edz and Jeff tied the knot, intending to spend more blissful years together.

Wedding Preparations
Edz and Jeff incorporated all things warm, cheery, and love-filled in their outdoor wedding. They had shabby chic details and travel and photography-inspired décor that featured their yellow and gray motif.
Quirky accents incorporated into the decorations channeled gave a fun vibe to the ceremony, which matched the overall laid-back ambiance of the wedding. And to make their affair truly their own, the couple did a lot of DIY projects. From their save-the-dates to their entourage favors, the couple got their hands busy in sharing their love with their guests. Moreover, the couple had unique paper boutonnieres made from antique world map prints care of Dylan Gozum of Vatel Manila.
For couples who wish to engage in DIY projects for their wedding, the couple suggests that they do the projects in advance so there would be enough time to focus on other aspects of the wedding. "Stress is inevitable, but it's best to discuss every matter with each other. Remember [your] reason for getting married. The wedding day is just for a day, while marriage is for a lifetime--better prepare for it," they add.
