Love Story
Davelyn and Mike's paths first crossed in Baguio, where they worked for the same company--Davelyn was a planner while Mike was an engineer. Their professional relationship took on a romantic turn when their colleagues started teasing them to go out on a date. At first, they went out with a group of friend,s until Mike mustered the courage to ask Davelyn out on an exclusive date.
Six years into the relationship, Mike asked for Davelyn's hand in marriage. On December of 2008, while on a trip to Tagaytay, Davelyn somehow felt that Mike was up to something. Mike held on to his jacket throughout the whole trip, even if it wasn't that cold in Tagaytay, Davelyn shares. When the couple finally got to Sonya's Garden, Mike went down on his knee and popped the question.

Davelyn and Mike exchanged vows im Baguio--the place where they first met and fell in love. With Baguio's perfect nippy weather, the couple decided to have a chic and rustic woodlands theme. The two also chose to use a pink and gold color palette, and incorporate cherry blossom details to add whimsy and romance to their wedding.
The couple credits their talented team of suppliers--coordinated by Ernest Pascual of Events! Events!--for the success of their beautiful and memorable May affair.
While Davelyn and Mike's celebration featured a charming ambiance and dreamy details, what stood out from the couple's wedding was their heartwarming ode to the bride's late father. When Davelyn's dad was still alive, he had asked her to play Elvis Presley's Can't Help Falling In Love for her first dance with Mike. When the big day came, Davelyn had no qualms with granting her father's wish. The bride's siblings and cousins also surprised her with a special video presentation showing photos of her as a child sitting on her dad's lap. Tears rolled down everyone's eyes as Butterfly Kisses and Dance with My Father played in the background. With the special tribute, everyone felt that Davelyn' father was also there to celebrate such a momentous and love-filled event.
Davelyn and Mike were able to pull off a beautiful celebration, and they learned several things along the way. Davelyn shares, "Take note of the budget. There are always those cute little things that you want for your wedding, [but] sometimes you just have to let go of [them]."
