Cha and Paul exchanged vows in front of family and friends at the St. James the Great Parish last December 3, 2010. Festivities ensued at the Bellevue Hotel, where the modern affair was decorated in striking hues of aqua blue and bronze.

LOVE STORY
On their first meeting, Cha and Paul were playing in a badminton tournament, and were only expecting to win a few matches each. Their first meeting proved to win them something more, as Paul soon began to tease Cha that if they played against each other and he won, he would be able to court her. The two played a friendly match, and they found out they had common friends. Their first meeting sealed the sweet foundation of their relationship.
Paul proposed to Cha during a dinner date. That day, the couple had two causes for celebration: the proposal and Cha's birthday. A little over a year later, the couple finally wed and proclaimed themselves as man and wife.

WEDDING PREPARATIONS
Preparing for a wedding takes a lot of work, but Cha and Paul found out that they can make things easier by entrusting several wedding needs to one supplier. The couple chose to have their reception at the Bellevue Hotel, and they also asked the establishment to take care of the event styling, catering, and décor for the ceremony and reception. With the major wedding elements covered, Cha and Paul were able to focus on adding personal touches to their wedding.
The modern wedding was made intimate with customized aqua blue and bronze table numbers, reception rules, ringing bells, place cards, escort cards and guest souvenirs--all of which were DIY projects. To further infuse modern elements to the affair, the couple chose to forgo the traditional ballad for their first dance. The bride and groom instead moved to a hip-hop song, and the number became a memorable highlight of their reception as they shared the dance floor with their guests.
The couple realized that a sure formula to enjoying one's wedding day is to busy oneself with pre-wedding preparations and then enjoy the fruits of your laid-out plans on the wedding day. Cha shares, "Plan as early as you can, and learn to let go and let God on the day of the wedding."
