Carms and Vans celebrated their 27th birthday together with an intimate and fun-filled beach wedding in Palawan. A unique ceremony venue, heartfelt personalized vows, and a laidback brunch reception made the couple's union the perfect start to forever.

Carms and Vans' paths first crossed at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB)--Carms was a member of a sorority, while Vans was a member of the counterpart fraternity. At that time, Carms was in a relationship while Vans was available.
One time, when Carms was hanging out at their common tambayan, Vans struck a conversation with her. Carms kept their exchange brief, but was amazed with Vans' confidence. "The following days were a whirlwind getting-to-know-each-other stage, as we discovered [we had] a lot of common interests, and the same birthday," Carms recalls. The two enjoyed each other's company so much, that Carms was amused at the natural progression of their bond. At first, Carms tried to suppress her feelings as she was in a relationship. Later on, she decided to be with Vans, after admitting to herself that he had swept her off her feet.
When the UPLB February Fair came, Vans staged a grand surprise for Carms. During one of the main programs of the fair, Vans went up the stage and began a speech on the elections--he then remarked that it was his and Carms' 26th birthday, which prompted Carms to come up the stage as well. Twenty six of their friends then followed and presented Carms with a rose each. Vans then gave her three roses and expressed in front of the crowd how much he loves her. Carms recalls that moment as crazy and hazy, until Vans uttered her whole name, brought out a ring, and asked her to marry him. As Carms said yes, which brought cheers and tears from the crowd, a charming fireworks display ensued.

Carms and Vans tied the knot with a heartwarming and intimate wedding at Honda Bay, Puerto Princessa City, Palawan. Their chosen date for the affair--their shared birthday--made the celebration even more special.
The couple's held their early morning ceremony at a sandbar called Isla Puting Buhangin, which only surfaces at a particular time of the day, and disappears when the tide comes up. The intimate ceremony featured the couple's personalized vows, which moved their guests to both tears and laughter. The couple's ceremony also brought their different faiths together--both a pastor and an Imam gave them special blessings.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a refreshing brunch reception. The early festivities featured a casual and laidback ambiance. Carms and Vans treated their guests to an entertaining program filled with music and games. With all the special things prepared for their big day, guests spent the day in high spirits.
