Aya and Marlu tied the knot as they celebrated their third anniversary as a couple. Their September wedding took on a wine red and champagne gold color motif that channeled an elegant, romantic vibe.

Love Story
Aya and Marlu met each other while they were on opposite sides of the world. Aya was then based in Singapore, while Marlu was in the United States. While visiting a friend, Marlu saw Aya on his friend's social networking page. Aya immediately sparked his interest, and he soon sent her a message. "I replied, then [we] exchanged messages, chatted, and [made] endless phone calls. We [developed a] friendship which led to a meaningful relationship that [ended] in marriage," shares Aya. The two eventually found a way to close the distance between them.
When Marlu decided to pop the question, he need not have any grand plan. As the two were taking a stroll at the Singapore Botanical Gardens, Marlu suddenly asked Aya to stop by a kiosk for a brief rest. "He just casually asked me, ‘If will ask you to marry me, will you marry me?' To which I answered ‘Of course, I will.'" Aya shares. Marlu then took out a ring from his pocket and slipped it on Aya's finger.

Aya and Marlu found more reasons to celebrate on their third anniversary as a couple, as they marked the day with a wedding they have long waited for. The couple chose a wine red and champagne gold color motif that gave their affair an elegant, romantic charm. Their chosen color motif channeled their simple and loving personalities.
For the wedding, the couple decided to treat their guests with food. "Make sure that wedding guests are well-fed. They will not remember the wedding details, but will always remember the food," asserts Aya. "If guests are satisfied with the food, you'll surely have happy guests, and your wedding will have a lasting positive impression on them," she adds.
As Aya planned her wedding from overseas, she admits that she is greatly thankful for the Internet, which she used for research on all her wedding needs. "I was able to check out websites like BridalBook, [where I got] so many wedding inspirations. I [also] relied heavily on the Internet for researching and communicating with our wedding suppliers," Aya shares.
