This long-term couple found love the unusual way-through each other's blog. With the unique platform through which they met, Anna and JR went for a nostalgia-themed affair, which allowed them and their guests celebrate the past, present, and future of their blissful love story.

Love Story
Unlike most couples who meet through friends or bumped into each other in school or workplace, Anna and JR met in 2001 through their personal blogs. They would read each other's blog entries, post comments, and got to know each other more. Their blog interaction eventually led to online chats, texts, and phone calls. "Sometime in between those conversations, a bet was made that whoever gets into a relationship first would be treated to lunch by the other. No one won that bet because in 2003, [we] started going out and fell in love with each other," JR endearingly shares.
Seven years into the relationship, JR planned to ask for Anna's hand upon welcoming 2010, but he feared that she wouldn't hear his question with all the New Year noise. JR then waited for everything to calm down before popping the question. "It took a bit of waiting until Anna was ready to sleep," he says. Without her makeup on, messy hair and all, Anna got JR's proposal as he knelt down on one knee, pulled out the ring and finally popped the question. "It took only a beat for Anna to say yes," the couple lovingly recalls.

Anna and JR took a graceful walk down memory lane as they celebrated their big day with a nostalgia-themed wedding. The couple chose sophisticated violet as their color motif, and their theme also took on a glamorous turn.
The couple showed guests their past by displaying their prenup photos at each reception table. Anna and JR also made sure that guests have something to tangible to reminisce with by setting up a photobooth and memory tree. Moreover, the groom made an iPad guestbook application to give a contemporary twist to the wedding theme. And to help guests record their memories in photos or words, Anna and JR also gave out picture frames and moleskin notebooks.
The couple asserts that it pays to hire a professional wedding coordinator and photographer. "We hired Christine Ong Te and her team. We know we made the right choice, because our wedding day turned out to be more than what we had hoped for and dreamed of. We were very pampered and stress-free during the day, and everyone who celebrated with us had a great time too," says the couple.
Anna and JR also put importance on having great-looking mementoes of the big day. "If possible, make [your photographer] your top priority, because your wedding photos are what you'll be looking at 50 years down the road. The [service] may be expensive, but you definitely won't be disappointed once you see the prints," they add.
