When Ann and Paulo tied the knot, they incorporated a vintage French garden theme into their wedding. With a celebration filled with charm, romance, and whimsy, the couple's wedding served as the perfect beginning to their love-filled ever after.

Love Story
Ann and Paulo met in their old workplace, and the two hit it off immediately. "I fell in love with him instantly as I saw some of my dad's best qualities in him. On the other hand, I was also his type [because he found me] easy-going and fun-loving," shares the bride.
However, things weren't as easy as boy likes girl, girl likes boy. On October 2007, Anna and Paulo found out that they'd be spending less time with one another because of work. "We soon discovered that we were to be [consecutively] assigned [for work] abroad. When he comes home, I would be heading to the airport en route to the next flight out!" shares the bride. Luckily, modern means of communication let them conquer the distance between them. They opened accounts for almost all possible instant messengers such as YM, MSN, Skype, Chikka, and even Meebo.
In December 2007, the two officially became a couple as they found themselves in the same place and timezone. Almost two years later, on her birthday, Ann didn't just turn a year older--she also got engaged.
Paulo went to Ann's place, upon wishing her a happy birthday, he took out a small box. "[It] looked like [it contained] the perfect match to the Charriol bracelet he gave me. I honestly thought it was my bracelet's pair. I remember sizing the box up, and wondering why it looked a tad bit smaller than expected. I didn't realize what it was until Paui opened the box and there shone the ring!"
Ann admitted that she didn't expect the proposal at all but managed to give a sweet response. "I tried to buy time, so that I can [do a quick costume] change and we can do a repeat, but apparently, it does not work that way. Realizing that there will be no time for that, I gave my obvious answer to the man I love: ‘Yes!,'" the bride fondly recalls.

Ann and Paulo's vintage French garden themed wedding exuded charm, romance, and whimsy. Marked with dainty hues, rustic accents, and avian details, the couple's affair truly was one to remember.
Aside from featuring breathtaking details executed by coordinator Ernest Pascual of Events! Events! and stylist April & Karen Yu, the couple's December wedding was also peppered with DIY projects that were true labors of love from the couple's family and friends. "The one rule we strove hard to follow was to let our families and friends play a big part in our preparation, and ultimately, in our wedding. In fact, some of our major suppliers were our cousins! Our friends and families labored over our DIY items," shares the bride.
Not to be outdone, Ann and Paulo took on some DIY projects as well. The bride wrote essays, letters, and poems that were stylishly featured in the invites, reception décor, and even on their wedding cake. Some of the sweetest and most memorable letters the two have written for each other were also displayed during the reception, giving their wedding a dreamy ambiance. The groom, on the other hand, showed his creative side by weaving some of the nests for the place card holders, and the rings for the siblings' table napkins.
The reception program complemented the warm details of the wedding. Heart-warming video presentations and touching speeches filled the celebration with love, laughter, and joyful tears.
With lessons from their love-filled wedding, Ann tells planning brides to "remember that you love each other. Remember that the keyword of ‘wedding preps' is ‘wedding,' and [that] the main ingredient in a wedding is love."
