Melen and Jeri knew they wanted a fun and candid prenup shoot, and so their photographer, Pol Sena of Enoxx Wedding Art, conceptualized a 1950s theme inspired by the movie Hairspray. The shoot was held in Subic, where Melen and Jeri shot at several locations such as a carnival, a grocery store, a park, a beach, a diner, and a parking lot. They even borrowed a grocery cart to give their shoot a crazy vibe.

Vintage-inspired clothes allowed the couple to channel their quirky concept. With the variety of locations and costumes, the couple and their team were able to come up with a range of shots that worked around their theme. Moreover, their photographer experimented with different lighting conditions that gave their photos an array of effects.

Since the couple and their team were outdoors for the shoot the entire day, Melen suggests that couples planning similar shoots to be ready with sun block and long-wearing makeup. The bride adds that couples should also be ready to change clothes inside cars so as to keep up with a fast-paced schedule of a destination prenup. And lastly, "Smile, laugh and enjoy the whole thing!" the bride says.
