"Deck. Lana. Photoshoot. It is unusual to find these three words in the same sentence," shares Lana. Nevertheless, Lana and Deck knew that having a prenup would be worth the effort as long as they got the details right.
Initially, there was no formal concept for the shoot, but the groom had always wanted a venue with a Filipiniana feel. After reading about Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in an in-flight magazine, the groom booked the venue, which, to him, felt like the perfect spot for their prenup session. The historical village resort lent a rustic yet romantic feel to their shoot--and the venue set the inspiration for the couple's "opposites attract--modern meets classic" theme.
The bride, who was based in Singapore, coordinated with Manila-based stylist John Magsaysay and make-up artist Aizza Reyes through the Internet. In line with the old-meets-new theme, Lana and her stylist opted to use Filipiniana dresses with modern silhouettes. The original plan was to match the couple's outfits, but Lana realized that allowing her groom to wear casual attire suited their concept perfectly. Lana and Deck highlighted their own differences that complement each other as a couple--the old adage of "opposites attract" personified.

The highlight of the shoot was straight out of the penultimate scene in a romantic comedy: the couple was photographed under the rain, looking intimately candid in each others' arms. They all welcomed the unexpected rain as it capped off their shoot with sweet serendipity.
